The clear, laminar stream this aerator produces works great but uses a reduced amount of water.  Laminar streams do not incorporate air into the water stream.  This lack of air/water mixture makes them a better choice for hospital and other healthcare settings.   Cache aerators thread directly into the faucet spout, making them vandal proof by design.
