Fix a Leak Week Check List

There's only a few weeks until Fix a Leak Week (March 20 to March 26). According to the EPA, up to 1 trillion gallons of water gets wasted in leaks every year. That's bad for you water bill, and for the environment. To help you get ready, here's a handy check list of leaks that you can look for today.
- Look at your water meter. and write down the numbers. Turn off your faucets and anything that uses water. Check the meter 30-60 minutes later. If the meter shows water use during that time, you probably have a leak.
- Check for drips from faucets, shower heads, and pipes
- Silent toilet leaks - you can use dye tablets to find these
- Leaks in pipes
